We’ve all seen a food truck at least once by now, in person or on TV.
But if you haven’t seen one, it’s a huge van like truck that’s essentially a mobile kitchen where chefs make creative dishes and sell them to you, no matter what the location.
I’ve had many a great meal from food trucks, and now, I’m excited to say one of my favorite supermarkets in the world has just developed its own food truck:
Stew Leonard’s is known as a few things to those in the NYC/CT metro area. First, it’s known as the “World’s Largest Dairy Store,” according to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!, AND it’s known as the “Disney World” of grocery stores to many who have shopped there, as you walk down its magical maze of an aisle filled with animatronic singing characters, from bananas, to milk, to lettuce:
The store has several locations; its flagship store is in Norwalk, CT. But as of next year, Stew Leonard’s is spreading its wings and branching out to Farmingdale, NY (Long Island!). And to celebrate, the store has decided to bring its first food truck to Farmingdale, according to Facebook comments by the grocery store:
“You’ll see us in Farmingdale soon, Billy! Look for it at Pumpkin Park, Adventure Land and at the Oyster Fest!”
“Our first stop is at Pumpkin Park, Adventureland in Farmingdale, NY!“
And here are the details:
11am until 5pm
October 24th and 25th
ADVENTURELAND AMUSEMENT PARK
Long Island’s Leader in Family Fun Since 1962
And here’s the Oyster Fest website.
Get ready, Long Islanders! Amazingness is coming your way in the form of food.
