There are restaurant where you are drawn to them like a magnet.

Where you go once and you’re hooked, and out of new habit, frequent.

That’s the case at Thai House in Smithtown, Long Island.

A relaxing, zen like atmosphere with calming music playing overhead, it’s like a mini vacation from the everyday world .

Some favorite dishes my parents and I have had there: Thai Chicken with Cashews, Walnut Chicken, Vegetable Soup, Curry Puffs, Coconut Shrimp Spring Rolls, All of its curry dishes, Pineapple Fried Rice.

Some deals for you to know about: Thai House has a special wine list aside from its regular wine list of bottles $25 or less. They also have a **FACEBOOK WORD OF THE DAY**!! LIKE its Facebook page and if you recite the word of the day at the restaurant, you’ll get the food item listed on their page for FREE. Yes, FREE. You don’t want to miss out!

Some pictures from my latest visit:

Its Vegetable Soup is out of this world. Fresh veggies, a beautiful aromatic non salty broth.
Its Tapas platter: choose any 3 appetizers. We had the Thai Spring Rolls, Thai Chicken Wings and Curry Puffs.
Left: Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice, Right: Siam Noodles with duck (today’s word of the day was ped, which means duck).
I drank hot tea. They give you a mini tea pot of hot water.
